How do I stop my rugs from moving?

23 January 2020

A version of underlay that The Rug Establishment uses.

Sometimes rugs will move because the floor underneath is slippery, tile or hardwood for instance, but they can also move when placed on carpet! A technical term ‘Rug Creep’ applies for this particular phenomenon, this occurs when the fibres of the carpet interact with the fibres of the rug and it can almost seem as if the rug moves of its own accord. Whatever the floor type your rug is placed on a non-slip underlay is the best solution. We recommend and supply Underluxe underlay which is ultra thin and proven on all surfaces, this is available via any of our showrooms so whether you purchased your rug in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane you have the solution nearby. Underluxe underlay is available as a product either standalone or purchased along with one of The Rug Establishment rugs.
